Southern Africa boasts a total bird list
of more than 900 species, which exceeds 10% of the entire
world’s total.
The province of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) has
a bird list of some 670 species, this being largely attributable
to the diverse birding habitats to be found throughout KZN.
These habitats range from coastal evergreen bush, to dry
inland thornveld, and to the majestic Drakensberg Mountain
range. Altitudes range in KZN from sea level on the east
coast to greater than 2000m above sea level in the Drakensberg
Mountains in the west.
Bushveld Birders is operational throughout
KZN and we offer the overseas tourist (particularly birders)
a golden opportunity to visit this beautiful country and
enjoy a fabulous holiday of bird-watching in pristine natural
surroundings.
We specialize in avi-tourism in this part
of Africa and can provide a variety of birding safaris and
excursions for small groups. Our priority and focus is to
ensure personal attention to all our clients so that they
will return home as "satisfied customers".
