Birding from RIVERSIDE LODGE- UMSULUZI GAME PARK
We stay in ultimate comfort at the thatch-on-stone cottages
set along the banks of the Bloukrans river flowing through
the UMSULUZI GAME PARK in the Weenen area. We awake each morning
to the wonderful sounds and songs of the resident bird-life.
The central Riverside Lodge has a lounge, dining room, bar
lounge, outside boma and barbeque area, a swimming pool and
sun-deck with commanding views.
Umsuluzi Game Park has prolific bird-life
with a bird-list of 296 species, and offers endless trails
and opportunities for birders to pursue their interests in
a typical South African bushveld environment. Whilst walking
and driving through Umsuluzi we are sure to encounter zebra,
giraffe, kudu, impala, and other species of antelope.
Night drives can be arranged.
This tour has both four day or three day
options. The 4 day tour includes a day trip to the nearby
Weenen Game Reserve which is managed by KZN Wildlife . |
